Balloon

Colin was such a good boy getting his passport photo, he was rewarded with a balloon at the CVS. This was quite a hit! He held on to this balloon for close to 2 hours. Even when it was time to eat, he held on to the balloon. We will have to remember this the next time we are in Babies-R-Us thinking about buying a toy. We should just go buy a pack of balloons. Of course, once he finds out what happens if you are too rough with a balloon, it might be a different story.

In case you are wondering, Colin isn't going far for his first vacation. We are heading to the Canadian side of Niagra Falls in August.

Longwood Gardens

Happy Memorial Day everyone! We are having wonderful weather here in Southeastern PA. Kristin, Colin and Brian decided to head up to Longwood Gardens for the afternoon for a nice stroll around the Gardens. We did not realize it was their Fireworks and Fountains day. With the great weather, the place was packed! We are members so we are able to get in for free along with a couple of family members. So, if you come visit we can go and you can be part of our family.

Believe it or not, this adorable little child is being very fussy right now, so I have to run.

Colin Swim Lesson

Here is Colin at his second swim lesson. Swimming might not be the most accurate description, but give the guy a break - he can't even walk yet. Colin doesn't seem scared by the water at all and did not cry during either lesson, but he doesn't seem thrilled either. It is like he doesn't know what to make of the whole situation. As the weather warms up, Colin will have more opportunity at the pool.

In other news, the Pens clinched a birth in the Stanley Cup Final today. Let's go Pens!

Baptism

This year Mother's Day was extra special because it was also the day of Colin's baptism. He received high marks for his behavior throughout the event. Colin was baptized in the same church Kristin and Brian were married in 2 years and 5 days earlier.
Happy 1st Mother's Day, Kristin!

What a Swinger, Baby!

You have to start early if you want your kid to be a Swinger, so we headed to a small park near us that we (I mean Kristin) recently discovered. Colin took to the swing very easily and seemed to enjoy himself. He always likes being out and seeing other kids.

Thanks to Aunt Alison, he will soon be getting his own swing set because his name was selected in a raffle at his cousin's school and we won one of the grand prizes - a new swing set. Now we can be just like the neighbors. It is good to know that Colin really likes swinging already.
