Back to Kaitlin

Now back to more pictures of Kaitlin. The first week is flying by. Yesterday, she had her doctor's visit and passed with flying colors. She is down to 7 lbs and it is time to pack on the weight. Last night was our best night yet so far. She ate vigorously through the evening and then slept soundly. We had to wake her up for a 2 am feeding and then she was out for the rest of the night. We are getting used to having her around. It is hard to believe that we were not expecting her to mid next week.

Did the Trick!
We met Sonia and Garrett at the Train Museum. Colin had a great time and is still talking about it. I assume the same for Garrett. Sonia probably assumed with the baby coming that she lost her shot at being on the blog this year. This one is for you. You have to keep the fans happy out there.

Trip to Zoo
A couple of weeks ago we went up to the Philadelphia Zoo for a fun Sunday. The highlight for Colin was the Orangutans. There was a mom with baby inside and the dad outside. The baby was old enough to start climbing away from Mom and the Dad was very shy outside and likely to keep a sheet over his head. Colin was talking about them for the next couple of days. It really made an impression. Looks like we should renew our membership for next year.Only 29 days to go (at most)!

Aruba
You know it has been a long time since posting when you go from snowstorm pictures to those taken in 90 degree weather. The time span is not as great as that suggests since we took a mid-March trip down to Aruba. It was nice to have one last get-away before baby and shower Colin with attention. We had a great short trip from Saturday to Wednesday. Some of the highlights include playing at the pool, going on a submarine ride, feeding iguanas, touring the island and riding on the Steelers plane!
Colin was very brave feeding the iguanas including the big one pictured right up to the end of the piece of lettuce. The weather was perfect and it was a nice break to mark the end of a tough Winter and the start of a beautiful Spring. The first weekend back reached the low 70s!
